Configure an LED Screen/Media Player on ViPlex Software (NovaStar Taurus Series)

This tutorial describes how to configure an LED screen connected to a NovaStar media player and how to configure the ViPlex software for general playback control.

The steps in this tutorial only apply to the NovaStar media player models listed below. For configuration of processors not listed below, please check our other configuration articles relevant to the processor/controller model you have.

If you have purchased an all-in-one LED display product, such as ViuPost or DigiPlex series, you will need to do a screen configuration in the LCT software as it is already pre-configured from the factory. Skip to 03:50 in the video for media content setup in ViPlex.

• Legacy Taurus Models (Network / Wifi Connection Only)
  • TB3
  • TB6
  • TB8

NOTE: NovaLCT & ViPlex software programs are not supported on Mac operating systems.

Before you get started

• Download and install the NovaLCT & ViPlex software from the Downloads Page, ensure USB drivers are installed and security/firewalls are disabled.
• Ensure your LED screen is powered on and connected to the LED processor
• Ensure your processor is connected via USB or Ethernet LAN connection (USB is recommended for simplicity reasons).
