How to send panel config files in COEX VMP

The panel configuration file is data stored on the panel's receiving card that contains all of the parameters for your LED panel like your pixel count, refresh rate, and other data related to the image/color effect of the panels in order to correctly display an image on the LED panels.

Sending an a panel config file to the panels is essentially a first line of defense to resolve any abnormalities in displaying a clear, uniform image. A few common scenarios of when panel(s) might need to be "flashed" is when panels stop displaying an image, but still light up (basically showing static), there is a brightness difference between panels, or the receiving card has to be replaced to name a few.

Before you get started

The first thing to do is locate and ensure you have the correct RCFGX or NCP file for your panel. The file type will depend on your panel and system configuration, but the processes will be the same. This config file can typically be found on a thumb drive included with your system. If you haven't already gotten in touch with us, you can Submit a Ticket with your panel model information and we'll supply you with the appropriate configuration file.

NOTE: COEX VMP cannot read back configuration files from panels. The correct file must be supplied in advance.
